1,000 SUNS is a new folk rock musical by Joe Eason, Matthew Taylor & Rachel Phillips, with a book by Joe Eason & Hussnain Khalid and directed by Jamie Sansom. This marks VF Theatre's first original production.

The show is set in an alternate future where the American survivors of a nuclear war shelter in a huge crater from the fallout that remains in the world above. A group of young people struggle with their own identities, the harshness of their world and the ignorant authority of their elders. A story of wanderlust, love, fear, hope and pioneers 1,000 Suns: An American Afterlife is an emotional journey and a demonstration of young and inventive musical theatre at its best.

Featuring a cast of seven strong, up and coming performers and a small live band, VF Theatre are taking this beautiful new show to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and will be performing at the Spaces on Northbridge from the 6th - 11th of August.The show will also be performed at The Beacon Centre, Beaconsfield at the end of June.
